Her professional journey began in the fashion closet at Ebony Magazine, where she interned while studying Pan-African Studies and Communication at the University of Louisville. Immersed in the world of Black media and surrounded by dynamic women shaping culture, Braea developed a sharp eye for narrative, identity, and impact. That season not only deepened her appreciation for representation, but it also awakened her desire to lead work that centers the stories, strength, and potential of women and girls.

Today, Braea serves as First Lady of the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York, one of the nation’s largest and most historic Black churches, alongside her husband, Rev. Stephen Green. In this role, she brings a fresh, holistic approach to ministry that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. Through her leadership of the GAC Women’s Ministry and GAC Girls Ministry, she is committed to building intergenerational sisterhood, fostering sacred self-awareness, and helping others peel back layers to discover the most authentic versions of themselves.

Braea’s life is a testimony to the beauty of becoming. Her work—whether on stage, in community, or online—encourages others to walk boldly in their light, honor their evolution, and embrace a life of faith, freedom, and impact.
